Reflection on North Pond

This work was inspired by my current residence – the building where I was born and raised. The scene shows Lincoln Park’s, North Pond and just above the tree line you can see my building, and a few other near by apartments. The buildings structure is reflected over the pond.

The warm summer weather and the crisp air reminding me of how close fall is. It made me think of how quickly this summer passed. This concept of continuous change inspired the general tone of the painting.
